If a child already exists in the FA system, parents are unable to add them directly through My Account. This restriction is in place to prevent unauthorised individuals from linking to a child’s profile, helping to safeguard personal data and protect children’s welfare.
Instead, the child must be added by their club via the Club Portal, as clubs hold the necessary verified information to correctly link a child to a parent. This process ensures that all connections are made securely and appropriately.
