Why was I unsuccessful in my UEFA B Application?

Providing you met all of the relevant pre-requisites, when reviewing your application against others in your area, we found that some of the answers you provided were not as thorough or detailed as other candidates. We review every application to assess suitability, and this lack of detail meant that it was much harder to assess whether the UEFA B course is currently suitable for you, in comparison with other applicants.

Should you decide to reapply in the future, we strongly recommend you include as much detail as possible to support your application so that we can fully understand your experience, attributes and suitability for our courses.

We have prioritised applications based on the following criteria: -

  • You must be actively coaching a group of players who regularly undertake training and play in organised or competitive fixtures. This is crucial, so you can be assessed on the key elements of the course and be eligible to complete the qualification. You must be coaching players aged 12 or above (or coaching in a boys or girls professional academy environment).
  • You must hold the UEFA C Diploma and have at least 12 months experience as either a head coach or an assistant coach post UEFA C Diploma.
  • The UEFA B is designed for coaches aspiring to coach or coaching in boys (EPPP) and girls (professional game academies and emerging talent centres) academy environments, along with coaches aspiring to coach, or coaching in National League system steps 1-6 (Male game) or Tiers 3 and 4 (Female game).
