The progress bar at the top of the course page reflects the completion of the current module. If the red bar at the top of the screen isn't fully completed, there may be some learning section which haven't yet been interacted with. (The below section will ask for all circles to be selected before you can continue).
If the red bar is not showing from one side of the screen to the next, there is something you have missed. Clicking on the red bar will show the areas you need to complete before exiting the module.
Once completed the module will show complete, as below;
