I hold a UEFA qualification but not with the English FA

If you have completed a UEFA qualification with a different Football Association, at level 2 (UEFA C) or higher, we can accredit this to your FAN record. To do so, we require a copy of your certificate, so we can validate this with the Football Association the course has been completed with, once verified this can be uploaded to your FAN.

After a review of our accepted overseas qualifications ahead of the 2025/26 season, we do accept a number of qualifications as equivalents within The FA Coaching Pathway from our Home Nations, including Goalkeeping and Futsal qualifications. Please see below;

Home Nation Qualification Equivalent to the National Goalkeeping Certificate*
Irish FA (IFA) – Irish FA Goalkeeping C Diploma
Republic of Ireland FA (FAI) – Goalkeeping C Licence
Scottish FA (SFA) – Goalkeeping Coaching Award (not certificate)
 FA Wales (FAW) – FAW C Certificate Goalkeepers

If you have completed any of the above qualifications, these can be accredited to your FAN as a ‘Non-FA National Goalkeeping Certificate’.

Home Nation Qualification Equivalent to the National Futsal Certificate*

Irish FA (IFA) - Irish FA's Futsal National Coaching Certificate
Republic of Ireland FA (FAI) - Futsal C Licence
 Scottish FA (SFA) – Futsal Coaching Certificate/Futsal Coaching Award (both entry level to our UEFA B)

If you have completed any of the above qualifications, these can be accredited to your FAN as a ‘Non-FA National Futsal Certificate’.

Unfortunately, we don't accept any Non-UEFA qualifications that have been completed overseas, unless you are operating in the professional game.

Please be aware we operate to a 3 working day SLA and once a qualification is added to your FAN, it will take 24 hours to update. Therefore, if you are contacting while the application window is open, please allow a minimum of 4 working days to contact us. However, we cannot guarantee a timeline for when the awarding nation will respond to us. Please factor in all these timelines and ideally contact us ahead of the application window opening so your UEFA B is added to your FAN and you're ready to apply.

Once we have received a copy of your UEFA B certificate, we will need to verify this with the awarding association and check that it is still valid. If your UEFA B Diploma has expired, please contact the awarding nation to complete CPD to renew this as we are only able to add a valid UEFA B Diploma to your FAN.

Please note, this can take several weeks depending on how quickly the nation responds to us. If you have a direct contact at another UEFA association, please provide their contact details when sending your certificate if you believe this will speed up this process.
