FFP is designed to increase participation in historically underrepresented backgrounds and whilst we would like to award everybody a place due to the popularity of the programme, the volume of applications is extremely high with only a number of places awarded. We want to create a more inclusive workforce and have committed to offering 20% of all places on UEFA C, UEFA B & Introduction to Coaching Football for free using FFP.
The FA is committed to helping those who meet the criteria and wishes to award funding based on the fairest way possible. This includes a review of all applications, and a final decision being made by an awarding panel.
We welcome applications from coaches who fit into one or more of the following categories:
• Female coaches
• Coaches from ethnically diverse backgrounds
• Coaches from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds
• Coaches with disabilities
