On completion of the Safeguarding Awareness for Parents and Carers course what will you be able to do?

  1. Know what safeguarding is and that they have a role to play as parents or carer 
  2. Support that child’s football is centered around the needs and wellbeing of children
  3. Increased awareness of the different forms, signs and indicators of abuse, including ‘grooming’ as well as understanding what constitutes poor practice, and how this links to abuse  
  4. Increased your confidence regarding what safeguards should be in place at their child's club, and how to check this. 
  5. Increase your awareness of reporting concerns through recognised channels 
  6. Increased your awareness and your behaviours that are expected of them in your children’s football environments.
