How are applications for Level 3-Level 5 Talent ID assessed?

All applications for The FA Talent Identification in Football are assessed on an individual basis. However, The FA Talent Identification pathway does hold certain criteria and priority for course places at Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5. To learn more about each course, visit the course page here.


Level 3 Priority of applicants

1. Those who require the qualification as part of the Premier League's Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).

2. Those working within recruitment in professional football and have completed the Level 2 in Talent Identification.


Level 4 Priority of applicants

1. Those who require the qualification as part of the Premier League's Elite Players Performance Plan (EPPP)

2. Individuals currently working as Head of Recruitment within professional football and possess the Level 3 in Talent Identification

3. Individuals currently working as Head of Recruitment within professional football 

4. Individuals who club identify as having the potential to become a Head of Recruitment

5. Individuals the FA identify as having the potential to become a Head of Recruitment


Level 5 Priority of applicants

1. Those currently in a Technical Director role or equivalent

2. Individuals who clubs identify as having potential to be Technical Director within 2-3 years and hold the Talent ID Level 4 award. 

3. Individuals who clubs identify as having potential to be Technical Director within 2-3 years.

4. Individuals The FA identify as having potential to be a Technical Director within 2-3 years.
