If your child wants to qualify as a referee, they must be at least 14 years old, reside in England, have successfully completed the FA Referee Course, and ensure their account is linked to a Parent/Guardians FAN. If you haven't already got a FAN, please follow our FAQ here.
In order to link a child's FAN to a Parent/Guardian FAN, please follow the steps outlined below:
1) Please head to My Account, after which you will see the following with your details:
2) Please scroll down to add an individual:
4) Add your child's details by selecting "add an individual" and complete their contact information. Make sure to provide a unique email address, distinct from any other FAN account.
6) In order to access and verify your child’s learning account, please click here to reset your child’s password. Please ensure you use the email address linked to your child’s FA Learning account:
8) After these have been completed, your child is ready to complete the face to face FA Referee course. To attend an FA referee course you will need to contact a member of the referee development team at your local County FA:
