FA Support Portal

I need to do my first aid / safeguarding only to finish my qualification, what should I do?

If you have previously completed The FA Safeguarding Children Workshop you can renew this by completing The FA Safeguarding Children Re-certification – click here for access.

If you haven’t, you’ll need to wait for the new safeguarding children option that is due to be launched in the Spring. In the interim there are two free online courses that can help fill the gap to meet minimum requirements if club affiliation and charter standard.

  • The FA Playmaker, supported by BT. This is our new, free online entry-level football course perfect for anyone interested in taking a more active role in grassroots football. It includes a safeguarding element that’s useful for anyone thinking of taking up football coaching or who is an unqualified coach
  • The FA Safeguarding for All. This is the safeguarding element from the Playmaker as a standalone module. This is useful for people who just want an introduction to safeguarding, such as parent helpers, new assistant coaches, or administrators.

First Aid:

You’ll need to wait for the spring until the new introduction to first aid in football course is launched.

In the interim there are two free online options that can help fill the gap. These will not renew your first aid but will refresh your skills.
