FA Support Portal

I’m interested in becoming an FA Lead Playmaker for a role in an FA football programme but I won’t come into contact with young players - why do I have to take The FA Safeguarding Children Workshop?

While some of our participation programmes are aimed at adults, all of them will be open age - meaning there’s the possibility that children might participate.

So to ensure every FA Lead Playmaker is safe, we require everyone to take The FA Safeguarding Children Workshop

Please note: In most cases those working with children will require an In-date, FA-accepted DBS check and they will be subject to safer recruitment processes.  A DBS check will depend on the eligibility requirements, e.g. individuals must be 16 or above to apply for a DBS check.
